Originally from Schwäbisch Gmünd, a small town in southern Germany Pete moved to the US in 2014 to pursue a career as a marine scientist and curator of scientific fish collections. He received my PhD in Zoology at the Natural History Museum in London UK. After almost 20 years in academia and eight of them as the curator of the fish collection at OSU Pete decided to leave science and make woodworking, a hobby he pursued for many years, to a profession. Pete began working on cabinets, shelves, and the classical cutting boards.
Ole has had a life-long passion for woodworking and history. He has an academic background in anthropology, and a professional background in wooden boats. He seeks to combine the two in the restoration and preservation of historic wooden windows. With an eye for detail, and for preserving the past, he co-founded Historic Windows & Restoration.
