About Us
Peter Konstantinidis, PhD
Originally from Schwäbisch Gmünd, a small town in southern Germany Pete moved to the US in 2014 to pursue a career as a marine scientist and curator of scientific fish collections. He received my PhD in Zoology at the Natural History Museum in London UK. After almost 20 years in academia and eight of them as the curator of the fish collection at OSU Pete decided to leave science and make woodworking, a hobby he pursued for many years, to a profession. Pete began working on cabinets, shelves, and the classical cutting boards.

As an informal apprentice of his Grandfather he grew to love working with wood and composites. His educational background includes archeology, and his professional background includes boatbuilding. This combination of skills and interests drew him to found HW&R with Peter.
